SourceForge is Evil!

Ug, I know this isn't news... but damn SourceForge and their new droppers!
I just installed Filezilla - which the only download link I could get from their page was for SF - it installed Chromium, Opera and a shortcut for Facebook.
WTF!
-
Well that's quite the change from the past.
-
SourceForge has been circling the ethical drain for a while now
-
I noticed some garbage the last time I installed filezilla as well. PITA.
-
you have to be very careful with what you download there.
I thought we talked about it here back when it happened. but search sucks..
Here is another site's article on it.

There is a reason that uBlock does this..
-
Install via Chocolatey instead.

I was able to get a clean download of Filezilla last time that I went there. But it took two tries. Not sure what I got wrong the first time.

yeah the first install I pulled was the dropper - but that's not the same. This time I pulled the Zip file.
I was hoping someone might download it themselves using the link I provided and see what they get?

Very possible. Relatively unlikely as they would never have customers again, but it could happen. Bloatware is very likely, though.
