My kids moved from Minecraft to Roblox.
My oldest son downloaded that on his tablet (he's without asking, which charged it back to our amazon account. I Still havent let him play that because I always approve what they play. I sometimes wish my parents would have been more strict about what they let me play as a kid. Anyways, we mostly do it as a family activity together, I've got my desktop at home and my kids all have Fire tablets.
Owch... Roblox it self and many of the games are free, but offer in-app purchases... Just disable that ability, lol.
-
@dafyre The kid versions of Fire tablets have an app called "freetime". its great and includes a TON of free content. But he knew the passcode to the parent user account and just downloaded the game from the app store. I've recently changed that code.
I feel like this is such a different world from when I was a kid, my kids have no trouble what so ever absorbing tech that is around them. But its funny trying to explain things like what the internet is, or what files on a computer mean. They have virtually no frame of reference, especially about the differences between different types of systems like android vs windows vs iOS.
-
their favorite thing is to just ask alexa to play random songs for like 10 seconds before the have her switch to a different song. They love asking her jokes too.
-
@dafyre Roblox is not free on Fire OS, but its only like $2 or $3

Free in the web browser.
-
they wont be browsing the web for quite a while i think.
-
Liesl moved on to Skyrim for a while, after playing Age of Empires II.
-
Now Luciana is playing Final Fantasy V.
-
I have entirely too many games right now... Except for Guild Wars with friends one night a week, I start and ply and then switch and start and play and switch... If I find game that is good enough to hook me, I'll finish it more quickly.
-

I could certainly have gone through it faster.
But I like to do all the quests and accolades.
The devs took the time to write, I want to see it.

Liesl is playing Andromeda. It's so awesome that this is what she is excited about playing.
-
Some Overcooked with the kids.
-
That game is so intense. We earned a few more stars, though.
-
On the console side finishing up Yakuza Kiwami 2 (I hope they change their mind and remaster the rest of the series as well instead of just releasing the HD upgrades), on my phone the usual rotation of Marvel Strike Force (which replaced Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes a bit back when I became frustrated with the team battles and how debuffing was becoming such a huge part of being successful in arena battles), and Gems of War which I played way back, didn't really get it, then restarted recently and have really gotten into.
-
I've had Game ADD lately ... I've started playing through the Witcher 1... again... We'll see if I actually finish it this time, lol.
-
@dafyre Im the same way. I have Witcher 3 but barely played it. In part its because kids are always in computer room with me but also theres just so much to do it gets pushed back.

You mean the one way you gain health back might not be so kid friendly?
