I know a lot of players don't like the idea of legacy games, but there is something really cool about knowing that you have irretrievably altered your game. That what you are playing now, no one else will likely ever play. And I like the idea of persistence, that the actions I take in this game will affect me in future games.
I like the concept. but isn't the replayability lost on some of these games?
Pandemic Legacy. How many times can you replay? You can't replay it, but it takes between 12 and 24 plays to complete the game. I don't know of too many other games I've gotten that much play out of.
So different people can jump in mid way or you need to play it through completely with the same people
Pandemic Legacy can handle different people better than other legacy games. That said, it is definitely better to play with as cohesive a group as possible.
Ssays 2-4 people but seems like a waste of $50 if you're just playing with 2 peeps

$50 for 15-18 (BGG poll for average number of games played) plays. Even with just two people it is pretty good value. Just compare it to movie dates, or coffee dates.

Thinking about picking up one of these. I like that it doesn't rely on cameras, 3DOF though might make it not as worthwhile for some of the games I play.
-
@coliver I'd be interested to see how that performs

So, Dawn of War 3 keys were given to streamers and I watched for a bit. Still neutral about it

My copy of Inheritance arrived this week. It is perty!
A slightly LARPy RPG experience wherein a clan of vikings squabble over goods and power in the wake of the death of their leader. Played several years ago in a prior incarnation. It was a convention demo for Burning Wheel back then(and awesome!). Now it is a self contained game and rule set. Will hopefully get to try it out soon!

I picked up Bayonetta, which recently got a PC release. What a fabulous game!

I loved the Burning Wheel RPG... at least the books. I haven't had the opportunity to play it yet.
