T-Mobile US: Phone Carrier to Extend Free Coverage to Mexico and Canada for Customers
The company announced the new coverage plan, which will roll out Wednesday, in a statement. T-Mobile made partnerships with carriers in Mexico and Canada to enable the free coverage.

<slightly different shaped tin foil hat> Earth is about to be destroyed by a giant meteor (asteroid?) and all the rich folks are looking for a place to live and survive </tinfoil hat>

TMobile is pretty much that now. Some small places, like in Africa, are not, but the entire first world is free roaming. That's why we use it for travel.

Why, because they are narrow and only one passenger can use them?
