#ThrowBackThursday
NTG employee #1, John Stephens, working from the NTG Geneseo Offices in 2006.
Didn't NTG start like in the 90's?
Yup. Why?
Well employee #1 sounded like it just started around 2006.
the owners aren't typically looked at as employees.. but I definitely see where you're coming from.
Correct. Owners aren't employees. And employees are often around for a really long time.
LOL - this whole thing ran afoul of human shortcuts... There was an assumption that this picture was from shortly after he was hired, though you said nothing of the sort. Calling out the fact that he was employee number 1 lead people to that conclusion, right or wrong, I'm willing to bet it would happen more often than not.

Yeah I agree with Scott here, an employee is someone you hired after the business is in place, not a founder etc.

That has nothing to do with what @Dashrender said.

Such a neat looking desk. I'm too ashamed of the disaster area of mine to actually post anything.

I'm trying to make it a habit to keep it clean. It's tough though.

@dafyre same here. Mine looks like random storage unit contents exploded all over it.
Only interesting things on it are:
- at least 6 spinning rust HDDs
- 2 of the same guitar pedal, both in boxes (IT isn't the only place where spares are a good plan)
- 2 GoPros
- 2 unopened Amazon packages

Mine is mostly trash and things that I need to take some time to clean up and put away, but I keep getting sidetracked by work and just have to carry things to the trahs every time I get up.
I have a 5 port 100 meg switch, and old ipad, a small laptop that isn't used, a regular sized laptop that is used (runs MX Linux at the moment) and a resting board for my keyboard & mouse.
Like I said... disaster area.

Just got it set up.

Office has a private bathroom too. That AC unit is only for the office. It's super comfy. Not very big, but I have storage, two big "desks", four monitors, and a full bathroom with shower. And two windows. So not too shabby.

Which location is that at?

This is my city office in downtown Leon. It's a converted student apartment. So a studio with no kitchen (there is a shared cooking space in my outdoor courtyard.)

Office Desk at the new job, Dilbert riding shotgun today

My desk until next week.
-
@JaredBusch OMG, I'm too old to sit like that for very long.
-
No thanks -
Though I have often wondered how the elders in the Japanese Society did sit.. chair, floor, standing just doesn't matter any more for me.... I just hurt, and to take the levels of pain medication needed would burn my system down like it was a house filled with spiders.oh - that and I really like having dual monitors... I can't really function anymore from just a single monitor or laptop... unless I'm doing only one thing - Using it for the Laser or the Radio..

The thing that kills me the most is my heel. If I keep my legs straight, the back of my heel gets so sore.

Get yourself a portable monitor for when you travel. I still love having mine, even with it being an older lower resolution model.

I am on my laptop 2 days in a row ever 2 weeks normally. I have no issues working from it then. Keeping up with small things while in Japan is not really an issue.
