Kinda, sorta, maybe has a UPS.

The UPS has been in place for 7 years... and the unit warned us that the batteries were shot.
So being a 7 year old UPS, I say just replace the whole thing with a new one.
Management opts to spend for replacement batteries.
We install the new batteries, and it still complains the batteries are shot. "Oh well, lets see if it works" is what I'm told.

And 5 minutes after that the wind knocks out the power.

My mother in law somehow thinks that each person she talks to at Comcast IS Comcast and I just don't agree with that mindset. I understand the service is shit and their techs are shit, but what do you think you're going to get paying $30k a year? It's the same reason you dont ask people at best buy what to buy. If they knew what they were doing they wouldn't be making $9 an hour.

If they knew what they were doing they wouldn't be making $9 an hour.
^ This right here is very important to remember. That vendor guy who's telling you how to spec out your gear wouldn't be selling it if he knew how to spec and install it.

Only some of it, not my production servers as they have a separate UPS.
