Printer issues - what solutions have I over looked?

I have a few HP AIO 8600 and 8700 printers. They seem decent enough though I have not had them a year yet. They were about $160 or so at Office Depot.
I don't know much about the Panasonic line,.. I would have thought they would be good,.. but every Vendor has their lemon line..

I understand that, but personal printers are disposable items. Calculate your cost to the company to fix it vs replace it. The numbers should be clear.
I mean i would HATE to have to do it repeatedly, but unless you have really bad luck or she only likes this printer and it is a crappy printer in general, the next one should generally last much longer.

Are you wanting color or black and white? What kind of volume is she doing? Answer those two questions, and I'll get you an answer.

Black and White only - laser with copier built in.

At 2K pages/month, a toner will last you about 4 months. If it's less, longer obviously. Extremely reliable. Very inexpensive to buy and maintain. That's my recommendation. -
@Minion-Queen has the color equivalent in her office, and loves it! Easy interface, and very simple for both IT and end-user.

it's not bad.. but it's to large...
We went looking at what they had in the local stores this afternoon so she could get a rough idea of what was out there in this market - and she shot down anything larger than what she already has...
