he looked me dead in the eye and said "does that make sense?"
and your answer?
"not really.."
Perfect.
Might make it worse.
Make what worse? I'm assuming he is in an at-will employement state. So honestly, if they want him gone he's gone. This matters not. It is also the appropriate answer to the question. Because it is the truth.
I just meant that the additional APs and higher power on the APs might exacerbate the networking issues.
Of course. That is why I said it was the perfect answer. Your make it worse read to me that his response to his boss would make it worse.

So update on this:
We ended up "Hard wiring" the "socket Server" iPad, and setting all Ipads to Static IPs resolved this issue, there are other issues but not with the connectivity. . -

I suppose I could be dreaming too..

I know there's an issue with IOS v14.x.x and "Private Addresses" causing connection issues.. not sure if it has anything to do with Unifi APs. .

You don't handle the network - doesn't sound like you have a choice.

So the issue you were working on had more odd behavior initially or they "solved" that specific problem but their "solution" introduced other issues?

I dont understand the question.
the fix was taking the socket server off of the wireless network, seemed to have fixed the issue for now.
time will tell. -

I honestly have no idea, my assumption is that it's the tablet that is constantly connected to the cloud, and the rest of them connect to the socket server, but like I said, I have no idea.

Maybe not even that. Maybe it just appears to be working because they were fiddling. Might go right back.

Just some words that they made up to make people stop digging in to figure out what happened, I'm guessing. No one called their bluff, so it worked.

Well, if their 'words' are to have any real value at all - then Scott's assumption has value.
