    Headsets for use with Softphones - recommendations

      Of course I can just go out and google headsets, but I'm wondering if you all have any headsets you have deployed in your office or home for use with softphones/video chat solutions?

      We currently have Plantronics M22 amplifier plus headset. These work reasonably well on our Mitel deskphones and I've tested them with yealink T22P, but definitely not an option for use on my laptop.

        For a soft phone approach, any USB headset would work. We previously deployed Logitech H390's out (because of cost). They work, but no one likes them.

          What's wrong with them?

          I've deployed Andrea NC-91's, I received several of them with some Dragon Naturally speaking licenses I purchased a while ago. They work pretty well, and there have been no complaints.

          I'd really rather go with a wireless option, Bluetooth would be best, assuming the laptops have it, they'd just work.

              we use Jabra Biz 2400 usb as well as some Jabra UC. Seem to work well, so far fairly durable.

                  Of course, they all got headsets anyways. This was also on Microsoft SfB exclusively for the phone. Only conference rooms and private offices/reception had actual phones.

                  Now you'd be using MS Teams if that was your provider.

                          Yeah but different use case from your standpoint and the org I was at. The only people who may need a headset with where I was, truly would've been reception.

                          Most other people use their cellphones (before any change) or a proper desk phone. The learning curve of "answer" your computer when it rings is what through people for loops.

                              I'd go for a bluetooth headset that works with both computers, smartphones and deskphones (with BT).
                              We use Plantronics Voyager Legend. Has a very good noise cancelling mic and decent battery life (7 hours of talk). Can connect to two devices at the same time.

                                    No one had a clue where you were going because you are unclear until posts in.

                                    You want wireless headsets for users that move around the office and use a softphone on their laptop.
