Unsolved Port forwarding custom ports in sonicwall appliance
-
Hello guys!
I'm trying to port forward a few custom ports for a requirement. I've used the wizard to setup required NAT/firewall
policies. However the ports were still blocked.I've also tried to create the objects and policies manually, but still couldn't get the ports to be open. Attaching NAT policy and Firewall ACL screenshots for reference.
I'm trying this on NSA 2600 running SonicOS 6.2. Could someone point me on how to trouble shoot the issue?

I haven't used a sonicwall in years.

Did you tick 'Create a reflexive policy' box? Otherwise, you will need to create an outbound NAT policy too.

@taurex Yes, I did select it. Outbound policy is created as well.

Check this Thread:

Network-->Address Object. Create an Address Objects with the name and Ip of the server Network->NAT Policies. Add an entry with the Address Object you create before and the port number. Firewall-->Access Rules-->Matrix-->Wan to Lan Create and entry with the port you want to open from Wan to Lan.

That all looks accurate, assuming the underlying info is accurate. Double check your Translated Destinated IP info is accurate and service group info. Also, the wizard generally does this for you but ensure that these new rules have a higher priority than any previous rules that were there. Finally, ensure that the check box is set to "Enabled" under the Firewall > Access Rules and Network > NAT Policies.

Make sure the device has the Sonicwall as the default gateway, otherwise it will not work properly.
