Zimbra, the leading open source email server, has finally released version 8.8 which includes, we are told, their new web interface. Zimbra 8.8.5 can be downloaded from their site right now.

On a serious note, it's great to see Zimbra continuing to be developed. I thought it was way ahead of its time and better than OWA 5 years ago, but I have not really used it since that time.

I just recently started looking into a opensource email server, ran across this post, went to the site and noticed the opensource version does not include AD integration. Bummer.

We don't use AD, take this moment to consider if the answer might be to move away from AD

I have thought about it many times over the years but I have my technological limitations. I am
notconstantly learning between here, SW and my own reading though. One day I may make that breakthrough.
