@dashrender Where it should be. I mean, where it could be.
edit> you can move it through Customize if you liked the old wayI really don't care were it is.. but damn it - just leave it alone where it is. Stop moving it!
Grumpy old man today or what FFS

I'm testing it out now too. Posting from it now. We'll see how it does.

I can safely say that on My Laptop at home with 2 windows and / 8 tabs per window, Firefox Quantum definitely does not use less RAM than Chrome. It is, however, far more stable than previous releases have been. I'd estimate close to Chrome stability.
-
I'm liking what I see with Firefox Quantum so far. I don't use it nearly so heavily as Chrome tho, so I can't really compare too well.
-
I think I'll just be sticking with Chromium at for now. I'll wait a few FAQ revs.

Does Chromium run better on Linux than Chrome?

Does Chromium run better on Linux than Chrome?
It's lighter, fewer plugins.

At least with Fedora, hte default Chromium version is the developer build. Probably the only way for Linux users to keep their browser up to date.

My other browsers update on my Linux desktops as well.

Chromium runs best on the Fedora-based distros that I've been using recently... Fedora 25/26/27, Korora 25/26, CentOS 7. Chrome runs well too, I used that previously, but now I use Chromium where I can.
-
I use FF -> Chromium -> Chrome
I like the light nature of Chromium and not being able to use things I don't want like Flash.

I tend to switch completely until I decide if I want to stick with it or not. The RAM usage fluctuates wildly. It seems to go up when my computer is asleep or I'm not actively using the browser.

That was the first thing that made me go to Chromium on Linux, other than the other odd issues.

Is that an issue on Cinnamon desktop?

I think that's where I first noticed it... I found the fix that JB is probably talking about, but I didn't feel like dealing that that.
I didn't give it a chance on other GUIs, so it may not be an issue on Gnome and others.
