A brief history of Wi-Fi security protocols from “oh my, that’s bad” to WPA3
Enjoy our primer on the ups and downs of Wi-Fi protocols since the mid-1990s.
Thanks to upcoming developments in Wi-Fi, all of us connectivity-heads out there can look forward to getting familiar with new 802.11 protocols in the near future. Ars took a deep look at what's on the horizon last fall, but readers seemed to have a clear request in response—the time had come to specifically discuss the new Wi-Fi security protocol, WPA3.
So they'd probably like people to keep quiet on their bad track record so far?

That group is just horrible! They aren't open about their processes, etc. It would be awesome so see a new foundation created for WiFi security that is truly open and completely transparent - not about charging fees to have your 'shit' certified WiFi, etc.

Who else is thinking of that AMD graphics card with a Killer NIC onboard as well? That thing was just silly, but people believed that a NIC could enhance games.

The Galaxy S10’s face unlock fooled by pictures, siblings
2D image sensor gets fooled by 2D images.
Here's another friendly reminder that, if your Android phone doesn't have some kind of special hardware for face unlock, the feature probably isn't very secure. The latest phone to implement face unlock with nothing but the normal front camera is the Galaxy S10, and users across the web are reporting that the feature is easily confused or defeated.

Such a bad idea.

Discontinuation of the product, refocus of resources, change of licensing.

You could also use HAProxy. Which is decent.

You could also run out and Fork NGinx real quick like.... Just to have it on hand.

I'm sure someone will if they change the license in the newer versions.

Next Windows release will include DTrace support
Popular open source Unix tool is now a part of Windows too.
The forthcoming Windows 10 feature update will bring support for DTrace, the open source debugging and diagnostic tracing tool originally built for Solaris. The port was announced at the Ignite conference last year, and today the instructions, binaries, and source code are now available.

I'm glad you said this. I felt the same way when I read this.
I see it more likely that F5 will try to nuter or completely kill off Nginx to push people to their paid product.
I mean I'm glad that Nginx was able to get enough support contracts to keep themselves affloat, but this is a hugely different company who lived in closed source, closed door sales plus support.
