What is it.. I don't generally like to click links that don't have any context with them. Some background on what it is would be nice so that I have some idea that:
- not click bait
- not malware
- what function(s) it does.
Because when I see "Wow this looks really good" I think of:

It's a password management tool that is working toward a self hosting option. Completely open source. It looks like it could be good.

There is password app in nextcloud, that works:
Also Keepass can support remote DB, and with plugin it adds support of many protocols (SSH/WebDav/SFTP)
And if you would tell me to run docker just for this, or lamp stack for next cloud. I would choose lamp stack for next cloud, and get many other apps like KanBan Tool/tasks app/notes app/video talking app/ all the new apps that are still under dev.
And that is forgetting the file sharing part.

Is the app just for generating passwords or does it store them as well?

I'm currently using KeePass + NextCloud. I'm going to try this out, I think.

Their instructions are simple to follow if you want to go the self-hosted route.
Works perfectly from Fedora 26.

Password sharing and such are paid features.

Inporting my LastPass data was simple. I am sure Dashlane would be as well. I
open source software. -
I've got to say this is much faster then Lastpass. Using the Chrome extension or the Android client is very quick. I never realized how slow Lastpass was.

It's pretty cheap.
Edit: You have to buy the premium membership and/or a organization. Within a Organization you can have free and premium members.

I'm going to use the Self-hosted option for a little bit longer. It doesn't seem to have an Import feature for KeePass, but I can live with that since It's not like I have 10,000 things to import, lol.

Their hosted version can import XML. I'm switching to that since for $12 bucks a year, yeah, I'll test it for a year.
I just imported all my KeePass stuff already.
