What Are You Watching Now

Now Attack of the Puppet People, also on the Riff Trax channel on Pluto.

lofi hip hop beats, the space girl one.
After work, probably SeaQuest as I am rewatching them all. I haven't thought of that show since it was new, and it's fun to watch now with new eyes. So many actors in that that went on to do more stuff.

I miiiiiiiiight rewatch Goonies later.

Such a good movie!!
I think it's just about nostalgia. I never saw it as a kid, so I have no affinity for it. But my wife loves it.

My oldest boy is into anime, the whole pokemon, last air bender stuff. (yes, I am old), he (we) are looking for non pornographic sources of this type of thing. He asked me about funimation? and Crunchy Roll. Without watching the stuff, how would a parent go about finding semi-wholesome sources. He has wore Netflix and Prime Video out and since it looks like they are not going back to school the binge watching will continue. Sorry if this does not belong here. Think of it as "What I (we) are watching with extra steps..... "Wubba lubba dub dub!"
-
@popester No streaming service shows porn.
I have been subbed to CrunchyRoll since they had subs. I now have a sub to VRV (used to be a merge of Crunchyroll and Funimation until Funimation pulled out).
Neither Crunchyroll nor Funimation have sub-accounts and parental controls.
So if you are concerned about access to more violent or explicit content, there is no way to block it. But that said again, no streaming service shows porn. But yes, some content is certainly mature/rated R.

Thanks, mature/R rated. Acceptable, its a rough world out there, no need to sugar coat reality/fantasy. IMHO of course. My concern was for what i think is called hantai?? SP ??.... I may have it wrong. Dont swim in those streams. Thanks for the info.

No service is showing that. You'd have to get an actual porn service (think PornHub) to see that stuff.

You know they are local to us right? Just a few towns over from me. I think that they are in Keller or Grapevine.

Anime gets pretty violent and weird and adult. There's not too much getting around that. It's tough because what is considered an acceptable mix of material for an age group in Japan is different, not better or worse, than what is considered appropriate in the US. So almost anything shared between the cultures has this weird feeling of sometimes being targeted at one age, then with content for another. It's very hard to avoid.
