Windows 10 updates, How are you managing?
-
With the changes to WSUS and Windows 10 updates how are you managing them from a MSP or maintenance standpoint? I have 40 faculty and staff and would like to still control the updates that get applied until we test in our environment.

Testing updates is crazy expensive in IT time.
What reason do you have that makes this worth while?

No changes or effect at all. Automatic updates, as quickly as possible same as before.

Can't agree more. Only very specific use cases for re-testing Microsoft's already tested updates and only large companies with idle, rapid testing departments can make it viable. If your testing or patch management process slows updates, it's a risk rather than a feature. You want updates in most cases very quickly and without unnecessary cost.

WSUS still controls updates to Windows 10 1607 installs.
