He doesnt test before upgrading and he is building his work PC out of his own money. Sounds like a great place to work.

Sounds on par with @WrCombs employer.

:man_facepalming: Dude basically has a meltdown because the devs didn't test a 10 year old operating system, which the PV drivers actually work perfectly on anyway.

Yeah, there were so many issues... Then with "zero IT budget" he is up and changing his virtualization infrastructure?? okie dokie.

I think a lot of people use forums to feed their ego but the reality is we are all trying to improve. Everyone is wrong sometimes. No shame in it.

Hi Citibank. As an actual customer that does not own a fucking checkbook, I would prefer if I was actually able to make a fucking wire transfer when I need to.

So is this error basically saying, the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing so the right hand freaks out with a security issue?

Customer had TWO RAID 5 arrays on their server, hot spares one for each. They lost a drive and did nothing about it. And the hot spare caused corruption automatically. Yay

And now in a rebuild loop for the array! Been from 100% to 0% twice now.

Customer didn't want to buy a quoted $680 computer because it was "too expensive" and they wanted to get something in a Cyber Monday sale. Customer spent $800 to get something with bad specs and needed a Windows Pro upgrade for another $100. So spent $900 because $680 was too expensive, and lost weeks of time fooling around instead of just ordering the right stuff right away.
