We closed on a home improvement loan this morning - time to plan the dream kitchen!!!
Awesome!

We managed to get a private seating at the most exclusive restaurant in Central America (debatable if it is THE most exclusive, but it's one of the ones in the running.) They only sat fifteen people yesterday, we got four of the seats. We got in as friends of the Netflix crew that's filming a documentary there!

Nothing like a one thing failing after another on Field Day Weekend;
- Surprise you need rear brakes in addition to the B356 service
- Surprise your radio now doesn't seem to have output power (likely blew a output transistor
- Surprise - you have no WiFi at home (ubnt controller and AP).
I have had less than two hours of sleep since 6am Saturday and now this. NOT what I had it mind for a resting evening.

Well - awesome. Good thing I still had the old APs, doesn't appear to be a controller, DNS, DHCP or router issue.
Device has been reset,.. power cycled and reset again. Sigh.. I'm hungry now..

@gjacobse at least you got out to operate Feld.Day, family commitments kept me off the air this year

One of my kids discovered rainbow road this evening...
I'm still laughing... is that cruel? -

I hate to hear that. Atmospheric conditions were junk for a good while…
Hopefully family is safe and healing..

After you get done poking around with pfSense, check out OPNsense -- it's pretty good too.

I could just google it but I'm kind of lazy. lolYeah, pretty much same vein as pfSense. The last time I compared the two, OPNsense looked and felt a little more modern.
I wouldn't be afraid to use either of them for stuff.

pfSense was purchased years back and while still available, the open version is a 2nd class citizen

Lame. No wonder I've heard nothing of it in forever.

Why? What's the goal? It's pretty rare that I would want a software router outside of a lab setting.
