What Are You Doing Right Now

So this gem just got discovered. Guesstimate is circa 2000 at Boynton Middle School in Ithaca, NY. No idea what the event was. That's me, obviously, and @AndyW with the braids next to me.

HA HA HA HA HA!! You were all so young!

Slow day on ML today...
-
Busy working with a GroveSocial Client.
-
Read an article that sophos and webroot share their AV engine. Odd.

Catching up on this thread and now I'm hungry. Thanks @nadnerB & @Joyfano

Didn't realize Microsoft Hyper-V Server was in the technical preview stage. If I get some spare hardware in the future I will look into it.

I just had a user set all exe files to run with adobe reader. All the way through system32 it was adobe reader icons. I nearly died laughing.

@MattSpeller... (Read this in a newscaster's voice): And in other news, an IT Employee was found dead next to a user's desk with an apparent grin on his face. Oh wait. This Just In: IT Employee was found nearly dead. He has been transported to a nearby hospital and awaiting diagnosis from doctors.
-
@dafyre Acute need for a grin-ectomy
Had to nuke the user's profile to fix it - that really hosed the thing. I'm impressed!

The new one is. As is windows Server that's based on windows 10. But, they are dropping the versions. It's now just Hyper-V and Windows Server.. no more year or Release versions.

It's a good move. So many IT people and their weird inability to remember which version is current or fearing each new update as "new" and avoiding patches because they don't understand the code cycles. I think that it is a good move.

Yeah, aside from those of us that understand windows versions. No more being able to tell if a company is up to date quickly. Or telling the state of a company from their job requirements.

Good point. Although it will mean that systems are more often up to date because it will be more a matter of updating and less of going to a whole new version.

Yep, probably a good call especially if they are doing the update schedule that has been mentioned.

Been noticing that the Unread number has been updating lately. I refresh and it still won't show the number of unread threads with new posts, etc but if I go to Unread, there are threads in there.

Short groan. My old laptop which I have been setting up for the kids to use is across the room at the DELL logo screen. It's not been used in about a month, and was working fine the last time I had it running. I have no idea what has happened to it, since it's not been used.
Time to call the help desk.

Four interviews tomorrow. All at the same company just with different people in management. Odd that they are doing it 1 on 1 instead of all at the same time.

Congrats and good luck.
