Anyone noticed that nested virtualization is enabled by default after installing KVM on Fedora 30?
I ran this command,cat /sys/module/kvm_intel/parameters/nested
and the output show Y.But the setting isn't configured to allow nested.
cat /etc/modprobe.d/kvm.conf ### ### This configuration file was provided by the qemu package. ### Feel free to update as needed. ### ### ### Set these options to enable nested virtualization ### #options kvm_intel nested=1 #options kvm_amd nested=1

Doesn't it include Boxes by default (forgetting the exact name).

Includes, as in it is available. But it doesn't like enable it.
-
When you use Boxes, your VMs are created in user session instead of system session.

Stuck in a hospital room until at least tomorrow after spending the night in the ER. Doctors say it is a pulmonary embolism / blood clot. Fun times :weary_face:

Just finished submitting my order to my bosses for Windows Server 2016 with 36 Cal Licenses( 20 terms, 15 tablets) for this site I'm installing called "Great Shots" in SF SD -
Apparently - and this is what pissed me off yesterday - We only us "Real Servers" (as my boss calls them) when we have a site of 10 terminal...
I started to say we should have been doing this since the beginning and was cut short by boss thinking he knows more than me...
\
Any advice (other than leave the job - I've applied to a few places and plan on calling to follow up later today. ) on setting up this Server 2016?

Windows Server 2016
Why 2016? You'd want to get 2019 and if you really had a requirement, you'd install 2016.

What is a "Real server" to your boss? A physical installation? If so, setup Hyper-V and then build your installation on it. It's a real server, configured how it should be configured.

Good luck, you can't even buy CALs for Server 2016... Only the current version. (of course they are backwards compatible)

@bnrstnr even better

So RedHat isn't a real OS, or Fedora, or OpenSuse or FreeBSD or any other OS? lol
