Drunk History - iirc - is about things that have happened in history while people were smashed, and how the drink made those sorts of things possible.
No, the historians are drunk. And all of the history (so far) is American.

Like the pyramids weren't built by mostly slave labor, but actually with paid skilled labor, paid in beer. Which beer at the time was more nutritional than alcoholic.
That doesn't match what people above said - they said it was about getting historians and famous people wasted and then asking them in front of cameras about historical events - that just sounds like exactly what Ouch My Balls is all about - just watching people being dumb.
Its' not dumb, though, because it is nearly all professional historians and they tell real, interesting history. Just with hilarious dialogue.

All the episodes I've seen have comedians getting drunk and telling a historical tale. Haven't seen any actual historians, but I haven't seen all the show either.

I still don't get the point - the whole whole being drunk is the only thing the audience apparently gives a crap about - let's see what stupid/crazy (scott says interesting) thing they say next. Again, it seems like little more than low brow humor - it's definitely not about the history. You might as well watch one of those crazy jerzy bimbo shows real housewifes or some crap.

Minute 32 on a Dell support chat.... and all I need is a replacement (under warranty) laptop power adapter. And chatbot hasn't comprehended the part where I said the defective one was recycled, I think he will be expecting a return part.

Given that that is not at all the case, and that no one said anything like that, this seems like a bizarre conclusion to draw. What did you base this conclusion on?

Odd thing to say, since it definitely is. It's probably the most influential history show out there. NOthing on the History Channel comes close, that's for sure. It's no PBS Civil War, but for a standard running series, it's probably the best history show out there.

Drunk History focuses on biographical vignettes from American History. For example, it's the most influential medium for learning about Claudette Colvin, or First Lady Frank Cleveland. Important American historical figures often panned by more mass media.

I find it odd that you compare actual history and actual live filming to staged fiction shows. I feel like you aren't understanding what a history show is about.

Well, I will admit I've never seen this drunken history show.. so I have no clue if it really has any actual value, where I know that staged fiction as you put it does not (yeah I've seen parts of at least one show).

If you enjoy history, it's a must see. Because it's hard hitting, culturally important history (loads of underrepresented heroes or victims of American history who are often overlooked or avoided as controversial) with the drunk piece mostly added to make otherwise dry or boring history more accessible or palatable to a wider audience.
Imagine how many people would have taken the time to find out that Rosa Parks was a plant and that Claudette Colvin was the real "bus seat" protester that sparked the revolution? Very few, hence why there are Rosa Parks memorials everywhere, and almost none for the far more important hero. That's "boring history" to most people. But DH made millions learn about it.
Drunk HIstory does way more for America than high school history classes do.

Confirmed. Opening UCS blade more of a pain-in-the-ass than opening a Dell R-series rack server.

I find opening anything by Cisco to be a real PITA compared to Dell R-series anything, lol.

R series dell servers are super easy to open... unless you mean the antique ones.

UCS are the worst. Can't think of any server product worse. Terrible price, performance, support, to work on, etc.

We have apparently lived and died by them since the beginning of time.

Granted I'm three layers away from knowing anything about purchasing, but they seemed to have functioned well at least in the year and a half I've been here.

UCS is one of those red flags for people getting kickbacks. No one would ever choose them if they were evaluating them.
