Good enough for something that is so far out of support it took me 20 minutes to even find how to fix this yesterday.
I cant believe they wont buy new terminals and get rid of these old garbage ones. -

I cant believe they wont buy new terminals and get rid of these old garbage ones. Many businesses won’t replace stuff until total failure... rarely do they do planned replacement.
To force the issue, vendors have to raise rates to make staying on old shot so high that not upgrading costs more than upgradeing.

What am I doing right now?
Arguing with our tech about attaching the shield in shielded wire to source ground while leaving the other end open. -

That it doesn't do anything anyway. I don't like to fight and argue, but I feel a rage coming on. I've explained and diagrammed. I can introduce him to any number of experienced electricians from residential up through industrial and I doubt he would come on board. Not just grunts. People experienced with heavily inductive environments having to deal with power, control and signal. Oh well. I guess he can afford to buy some boards.

Arguing with our tech about attaching the shield in shielded wire to source ground while leaving the other end open.I can see the problem as both shielding and grounding is complicated. Probably because there are several different reasons for both and the best option in one situation is the worst in another. Was it network cabling or something else?
