I haven't. I'm going through their series on the RHCSA certification.

What was the reason for deploying oVirt instead of other hypervisors?

oVirt isn't a hypervisor, it's a hypervisor management console. oVirt is of interest because it manages KVM and does so centrally.

Have you used Ganeti with it?

I've never looked at Ganeti. Looking it up, they seem to have almost no documentation out there. Wikipedia and Ganeti's own pages are pretty sparse and it looks like development stopped over two years ago? It's unclear from the site what the value proposition is. They really make it hard to figure out what it is they are making.

Getting my phone cleared off. I've been hoarding pics on it forever.
NextCloud for the win! I never have to think about it now... I just wipe my phone and go, lol.

More OSX domain migrations and system updates. Coffee and new hire IT orientations.
Busy morning.

Vendors on site to do software upgrades for some stuff. Yay.

See this confused me too. When I was looking at oVirt I thought it was a all in one hypervisor and management in one download.
You deloy via Iso image on each host/node

Does it work with an existing KVM server or do I have to start from scratch?

It's meant to be used with new installations as it's a Hyperconverged solution.
