Looking forward to testing my ERL configuration once regular business hours have passed.
D&D night so don't bother asking here. I won't help you.

Tell [insert daughter here] that there are other people [this guy I know named Eddie] who constantly roll 1s. It's "normal."

Just gave my morning "What did you do yesterday" report. Most of the lines were:
-Worked ticket #: User claimed X, but [the opposite of X] was happening.
You got to do that every day? That must be exhausting.
We did that weekly at IBM. Wasted SO much time.
Daily SCRUM isn't terrible (3 questions, only committed talked). Daily status meetings are hell.
I believe the daily SCRUM was the idea behind our daily status meetings.
I call them group therapy.
A scrum is for rugby, no matter what those trendy hipsters tell you -
Had my daughters birthday party this evening.

Did she get a pony? Everyone wants a pony.

Composing a strongly worded email to local MP and train operators on why has the trains been cancelled 6 times in 3 weeks which in turn costs me an extra £15 to get into work by taxi as I've missed my lift!!!!

Wow. That’s a bit extreme. And in Japan they are upset when a train is 20 seconds early!

Why's that? because they then leave 20 seconds early?

Because it left early, so people had 20 seconds less to get on it, I'm assuming.

Aren't the trains in Japan packed like sardines, is 20 seconds that many fewer people? Also aren't they fully using bullet trains over there that go over 200 MPH?

No, that's China and India. I think Japans are pretty normal. Japan's famous for one of the best train networks in the world (maybe THE best.)

That does seem like cause. Arrive early, fine, but don't leave early.
What was the cause? Were the clocks 20 seconds fast? -

What was the cause? Were the clocks 20 seconds fast?I didn't hear the reason, but it made the global news. They had to pay fines and stuff.

Until London and Paris I hadn't really ever been on a train system (yeah sure I used it a tiny bit in Chicago, but I was under no pressure, so meh). I was impressed at how well it worked.

To whom? Are the trains not municipal or state owned?

And those are just so so. You should see Spain, Germany, Austria, or Switzerland! They make UK and France look meh.
