Well, at some point soon @scottalanmiller is supposed to be heading to Missouri to meet up with @pchiodo and myself on Saturday.
Not likely till Friday afternoon. Tentative meeting on Friday that I can't miss. Will zip out the moment it is over.
So it is a race then. I will not be leaving Chicago until Friday afternoon either do do commitments.

ML is slow today, where is everyone?
I'm currently putting out major fires. I love when an AR goes through that relies on some of my code and no one feels the need to inform me until the day before it goes live. Makes me so happy.

I've been up too late several nights and needed to catch up.
I know the feeling. I went to "bed" at 1:30 last night. Olivia woke me up at 1:45 and cried for 2 hours. I put her to bed again and then she woke up again an hour later. I got a total of 2 hrs last night. Pretty sure she is coming down with something.

Ah, the joys of parenting, amirite? Just remember, sleep is for the weak. Also remember, if a child-free person gets 2 hours of sleep in a night, they were probably doing something really fun.

Ahh.. So glad my kids are older. However, This December our youngest is 13, my daughter is 14, my son is 16 and our oldest is 17. I am not sure what I would rather deal with. At least I get to sleep somewhat better at night.

I don't think I could deal with that many tbh. We're definitely done and not having anymore (for more reasons than just not wanting more). I think the pure volume of children/teenage drama that you have to deal with would be too much for me.
-
@quixoticjeremy meh... I was petrified when I was your age that I would have to deal with teenagers, now that I am older, hit 40 next week, it isn't that big of a deal.

Makes sense, and yep that is about where I stand right now, petrified of the day she's a teenager.

This sounds like you have boys though. Is this the case?

He mentions a daughter that is 14

Youngest starts pre-k and the oldest is going into 2nd grade. We don't qualify for school pre-K, so we're doing the whole "homeschool" thing for him. Both kids were excited for school to start.

God's speed dad's of ML

This all makes me glad that birth control is cheap, effective, and covered by insurance. But I might consider having kids if you could crate train them without CPS getting upset.

Being a parent is the scariest thing I can think of

What could CPS possibly get upset about if they don't know you have kids, crated in the basement. . .

Well at some point they would be at school or in a social situation where they might figure out other kids are not confined to crates...
