We made it to the fruit truck this morning when he was in our street. Today he parked right in front of our house so we ran out and both a load of fruit. That will hold us for a while. That was so easy, I love stuff like this which seems to exist everywhere outside of the US and Canada.
You're home at noon. How common is that in the USA? Heck how common is that there?
Like me, very common? The uncommon thing is local food availability in the US.
You, sir, are definitely in the minority.

Friday is the most beautiful day of the week

I can't get up early enough to use a percolater or french press.
Perc is SO fast.
I didn't see the video clip first (mobile) and thought you meant the controllers....

For me it is. Saturday is usually filled with stuff I couldn't do during the week and Sunday is for relaxation although its the day before work so not as relaxing at it probably should be.

@dominica is normally home at noon. So are @art_of_shred @Minion-Queen @gjacobse @Mike-Davis @Mike-Ralston
Might be more common than you think

I've heard of this... So what? people go to work at 8, work until noon, leave until 3, then work until 7?
More or less, yes. More like 9-1, 3-7.
-
Then change days. Sit on your ass on Saturday and keep yourself occupied with chores on Sunday.

Most businesses close super early on Sunday so I can't really get as much done
-
@Dashrender said in What Are You Doing Right Now:
It seems that if this happened in the US, that people would fill that three hour time block with other chores, they wouldn't spend much of it relaxing... As we just that much more high strung here? As some might say, trying to squeeze more from life?
Can't do errands much as everything is closed. Even the groceries, bread stores and most coffee shops. Basically you go home and chill. Sit on the terraza, enjoy some food and sunshine.

All those people don't count - they mostly work from home.
More common than I think - yeah, you're probably right, but still not what I would consider common.

The problem with that is that Sunday is the overflow day for what you don't get done on Saturday. lol

Then you don't count from the other side either, as you mostly work in an office.
See how that works?
-
Yeah being home at noon doesn't mean I get to relax or go grocery shopping... I am working from 8am till 5pm if I am lucky.
Working from home is not the norm by any stretch of the imagination. I happen to know a few (all IT).

I know many that aren't in IT. It's actually decently common.
You know many, actually, you are just mostly thinking of office workers. I know people who work in manufacturing from home, agriculture from home, medical from home... we just often don't think about them because "from home."

I normally do 3 days at home, 2 days in the office, because I need some in-person social interaction sometimes.
-
I work just the usual M-F 8-5ish. Sometimes nights and weekends, if needed. I can work from home occasionally, if me or one of the kids is sick.
-
Friday, Friday, Friday!!!! I'm outta here at 1 today, then I'm gonna get some tomato/pepper seeds started.

No, that's not the same at all - But I suppose that those fruit, etc, vendors could make visits to my office to sell our employees things during the day.
The 8 PM drive by does resolve this whole thing though....
