Id have to confirm but pretty sure. How do you tail 16 lines?

      Tail -16 /location/of/log.log

      That did it. Perfect! Thanks!

No amount of IT experience prepares you to be a developer. It's a different job, a different range of skills.

True that. You'll also run into many developers who can't do simple things like install software or configure IP settings on their computer, etc. Two very different fields.

The only thing some people don't like is the official mobile app is paid. There are alternatives. But in a company environment it might be better to pay for the server and have the mobile client be free.

I have the mobile app. I could swear that it was free. Maybe I paid for it though.

Yep, the OwnCloud app has always cost money from what I can tell. Not really a bad deal considering the functionality.

Yeah but it complicates the matter for business use, even on company owned devices. Even more so if it's BYOD. Paying for the server side would just make it simpler. Granted Seafile is free for both the server and all clients.

However, if I can get something for free instead of paying for it, I will not apologize for that.

That's what people I know who are on welfare say....

Some people who are on welfare deserve to be. Many don't but don't tear down those who have a legitimate right to it because of those who don't.

No one deserves to be on it. it's it's only an opportunity for them to get back on their feet. No one is entitled to get free money. You might say they deserve to get a better paying job so they don't need to be on it.

I can see where you're coming from, but the program is there for a purpose. The purpose may be good, but how people abuse the system is not. Again, I'm sure there are plenty of people who have taken advantage of welfare and then been successful at getting back on their feet. Like a kitchen knife, it can be used to make delicious food, or as the weapon of choice of a serial killer. The knife is just a tool. Don't fix the tool, fix how people use it.

We lead with geo-specific deny rules to block regions before allowing ports.

And in that case it makes sense. You're blocking all traffic from China or Russia, for example. Then you allow the ports you want open but those countries are blocked, and maybe every other country is fine (hopefully you haven't blocked Spain... ;)), and then you deny the rest. That also makes logistical sense. I don't disagree with @thecreativeone91. It all comes down to what your objective is and then determining the best way to approach it.

I am a big believe in BASH. It's still my go to tool for most scripting in UNIX. It is everywhere, which makes a big difference. People used to use Perl because it was so ubiquitous. But on current systems it is Python that I see more commonly. Node.js, Ruby and Go are out there a lot too. The one thing that you can almost always count on is BASH. It's simple, it's standard and it is really fast to do simple things.
