huh I had a good flight with Allegiant.
I flew Frontier for years from Omaha to Denver (Denver is their hub) and never had a problem. Though I do know a ton of people who refuse to fly them.

I fly Allegiant all the time. Excellent service from Elmira. Never had a problem with their flights (aside from it being an ancient plane that looks like it could fall apart any second.)

I've heard nothing but horror stories from personal acquaintances. Granted, all their flights were to/from/through Florida, which is bad enough in itself. Sounds like the western leg of Allegiant has it together.

Oh, I was flying from Elmira NY to Sanford FL. Excellent flight, I've done it a half dozen times. My fiance has done it a dozen, my sisters are right up there or more. My mother has done it 20 times at least.

I've flew Frontier a couple months ago. It was what you would expect from an airline, nothing negative, but nothing special either.
Oh and I have flown Allegiant out of Sanford, FL at least 6 times. I've never had an issue and it beats the hell out of dealing with Orlando International Airport. OIA isn't that bad of an airport compared to others, I just hate large airports in general.
It's been awhile since I flew with Allegiant, though. I used to get round trip flights for under $100 after taxes and fees to Tennessee. They used to have $19 and $29 one way flights all the time.
