What Are You Doing Right Now

Good morning miss joy!
-
Good morning.
-
-
Definitely pretty busy for posting, slow for viewing.
-
Disappointed in myself for smoking on my lunch break. It wasn't even good.
-
@MattSpeller That's what you get for smoking a big fat dookie.
-
Visiting with my family in Ohio. It is a mad house here! All of my aunts and uncles are here and all but one of my cousins. Grandma is here too.
-
Crying that one of my client's server is running a RAID0.
I have no idea how this got configured. I want to Blame the Dell guy that was out 3 years ago, but I redid the OS after that so I can only blame myself for not double checking at that time.
-
Right now working on an ERP-of-sorts called, coincidentally, Mango. It's PHP on the back, JS on the front, and is fairly alpha Hope I don't need to consider a name change, curses!
-
Popular name.
-
@scottalanmiller Well, you could say it has a lot of flavour
-
I just realized that Monday is a holiday! Whoo hoo. Long weekend!
-
Have to drive to Texas this weekend, so I will enjoy having time to recover.

Today was my first day officially working back at Staples. Already got my sales manager hating me and, I quote, telling me he will "make as many problems for me as is humanly possible". I truly do not understand why he sees me as a threat. I'm scary good at my job and, because he's the actual manager of the tech department, if I do well, I make HIM look good before anyone notices me outside the store level. The department has no really technical people besides me, even from a retail perspective. No one there can sell even half as well as I can. I know procedures, I'm amazing with customers, and I just excel at this job. Oh well....I've been through a war at Staples before...I just have many more and much more powerful allies this time, including my general manager.
-
My general manager actually offered me the full-time EasyTech Expert position today, which opens up in April when the current person who holds the position, who is awesome (albeit not technical but is a good people manager), leaves for Michigan. He was practically begging me to take the job...it was kind of awesome...
Also, I was expecting to go down to $9/hour or so as my previous rate of pay was when I was in a supervisor position. However, my GM gave me my full $10.30/hour to me at a part-time position, which is completely unheard of. That puts me among some of the top paid associates in the store walking back in the door. If I took the ET Expert job in April, I'd be over $11.
I realize that's not great money, but 1. it's retail and, 2. it's Upstate NY. That's really good for those factors...

I would do this job for free if I was able. Sadly I must pay for a few things here and there (gas, FOOD, beer on the rare occasion,.. FireBall Whiskey :), and a few other things,.. but I would gladly do it.
Don't get into the spot where you are working 80 hours a week just to make ends meet.. It's far better to live with less and be happy. You walk away from the day in a much better mood and place.
Which right now - Ani't happening here...
Similar to yesterday - Mountain Dew (throwback) and ML before getting into the words of the day (work, etc).
Happy ML Day!
-
@thanksaj congrats on the ET Expert promo.
