Is VOIP.MS down?

It appears that they are using CloudFlare. I thought that using a service like this would help avoid / mitigate such problems.
According to posts on their Twitter, it looks like they switched over to CloudFlare after the fact.

@syko24 OIC. I was wondering if that was the case.
-
Jeez.. down again?
WTF?

Looks like it's their website that's down
I get resolution, so that's no longer the issue.
and I can resolve chicago4.voip.ms as well - so at least service seems to still be functioning.

Well this is new for them

I assume since all their IP addresses are publicly posted, they are still getting DDoS directly.

yesterday, to the best of my knowledge they weren't getting DDOSed directly - their DNS was down...
but now that they have "fixed" that.. perhaps they are being attacked directly.

They have always been publicly posted.
Even if not, you cannot hide them.
So no idea wtf you think could be changed.

Agreed. I just mean all the targets were posted in a nice list.
-
@jaredbusch What if they get some new IP's to route their web stuff through those? Obviously they could get attacked as well, but perhaps it would take whoever is attacking some time or they'd lose some interest.
-
Voip.ms website is up currently if you need to make changes.

I got a copy of the bill yesterday at one point. Already started the port out process.
I also set failover on all numbers. So hopefully if only the link to the PBX fails, they can still reroute calls. But not expecting much.
Because inbound calls were not even seemingly hit their system yesterday at times.

Claimed as a malicious attack on Twitter. Almost certainly is based on what has been happening.

What does that mean Jared? That you're moving (porting) the numbers to another provider?

Yes. This outage is not the reason, but it did accelerate the timeline.
This was the last client that I active support day to day that used VoIP.ms as their primary provider. It was previously planned to migrate in October after another project was completed.
-
@jaredbusch what you moving to?

@jaredbusch what you moving to?
I run everything on @Skyetel unless there is some non-technical restriction imposed on me.
-
@jaredbusch What is your sense of if @Skyetel or any other provider could contain such an attack?
Do you think voip.ms just got caught unprepared or is there just not really a defense for such an attack on a SIP service?
