      Example

Client project required in depth network troubleshooting to resolve a critical point of sale issue, final issue was dead router, resolution required setup of new network stack.

Something like that is better than "it died and needed to be replaced"

          So he does system support

I am sure he has touched windows server before on the job

I am sure he has worked with backups, even if its just using a SaaS solution

Also if he is using VPN to connect to remote sights then he is managing the connection in a sense 😉

Remember, he's 23. No one expects him to be like Tim Berners-Lee.

At 23, I was already 5 years and 3 IT jobs into my career

I dont like seeing virtual machines as your first bullet point because my first question would be how are they any different than physical machines?

I might specify a chosen hypervisor technology that you use and are comfortable with. It's is a bit weird, I agree.

Right. If you were a VMWare admin or AWS admin that would be relevant

@WrCombs If you are saying Windows Workstation, don't list Server 2019, list your server proficiency as another bullet point.

Isn't the software Bombgar and not Bomgar, which according to their website they just changed to BeyondTrust.

@WrCombs yeah I was literally looking it up as I responded.

It might be worth putting it's new name there instead of the old one.

I know this is annoying getting all this feedback, but here a few things that jump out at me

                                • Under Skills - rearrange them to be in order of importance to you in finding the next job
                                • Drop Virtualbox , this is only something you would use on a personal level never really on a business / server level
                                • Make Windows Server bullet point. If you want to be Windows Server admin then highlight that and Active Directory as your top skills. I would honestly learn Office 365 so you can add that on there as well. It certainly wouldnt hurt to learn Azure either if you want out of the desktop role
                                • Leave Helpdesk but move it towards the bottom. I would change Desktop Support to systems support (which could be desktops and servers and even if you arent doing servers, desktops are still systems 😉 )
                                • Talk about network configuration with ubiquiti and Unifi equipment. You dont have to list specific products. You can say something like designed networks using Ubuquit and Unifi equipment

Thats just my critique for first section more to come 🙂

                                        Just Created it.

Yeah, but you did it like 15 minutes before I asked 🙂

@WrCombs the first steps here are...

                                            1. Get this paired down to only what is meaningful.
                                            2. Fix all typos, make it clean.
                                            3. Identify your gaps.
                                            4. Go practice and learn skills to fill the gaps.
                                            5. Profit
