I love my Yoga 2 Pro, but it's no 'tablet' in the traditional sense. It's to heavy and the shape is awkward combined with the weight makes it nearly impossible to hold with one hand. It's great for nearly everything except when you need to hold it like a book (gaming, general reading {think Kindle], etc)
I was going to say I'm sure one day we'll have an all in one device, but then again, really I don't believe that. I personally love my keyboard - I couldn't imagine trying to use something like an iPad all day without a real keyboard - that's why I went with the Yoga.
I found that the Yoga in tent mode works much better than a traditional laptop would on a plane for watching movies. I suppose I could have brought two devices, used the iPad/Android tablet with a case (for the stand) to watch my movie, but that's just adding more weight that I don't normally need.

Funny...I got a brand new, current model MacMini and I've already pretty much stopped using it. It was purchased for troubleshooting mainly for a new single Mac user but no real motivation to use it. I may one day but just no need to yet.

The real problem with a Surface Pro is that it lacks the ease of use you would get from a tablet. Its fast and can kick butt when it comes to speed, but I find myself using it more as a "desktop" rather than a mobile device. It just wasn't mobile enough for me. I do admit its very nice to have a full and FAST computer in the form of a touch screen tablet device.

That's what I find to be bad about it. It's not a good tablet (too big and bulky.) It's not good as a laptop (the kickstand instead of a hinge is a complete deal breaker for me - it's a clumsy tablet, not an elegant laptop.) It's this weird middle ground that I can't find a really good use case for.

When it is popped into my Docking Station, it is killer...in my hand, there just aren't enough "tablet" apps for it...overall, it has replaced my desktop and laptop but I use it in the docking station a lot more than I thought I would.

Yeah its a jack of all trades but a master of none.
There really isn't anything you CAN'T do with it. Although, I always seem to grab something else first.

It's a killer PC and when I first got mine it blew me away. The problem is that it isn't the best at anything, but it can do everything

Exactly, maybe if I was forced to own only one tool it would fit the bill. No, not even then. The complete lack of laptop functionality is a killer. It takes it out of the equation. If I could only have one device it would be a laptop. Two devices would be laptop and desktop (a separate desktop is more important to me than a tablet.) Three devices would be a laptop, desktop and a tablet.
I never let myself drop below two devices and I use all three these days. Plus a separate Kindle Paperwhite because it is so good at providing reading material.

I have a hard time finding a use for it as I have a MacBook and an Ipad Air. The surface I won but still I just don't find much use for it. Though my son has been using it for internship stuff so it is getting some use.

For what I need it for yes, killer. I have the Core i7, 8GB, 512GB model. I do everything but heavy gaming on it. That includes video editing and rendering.

I have the docking station but haven't found that it helped me much. But to be fair I do have some really kick butt other equipment to work on.

It is all what works for us!
Right now what works for me is:Surface Pro 3 Core i7, 8GB, 512GB as my desktop and laptop replacement (docking station)
Lenovo Core i3 Home File/Media Server with Solid State Drive
8TB NAS for my Media Storage with a few external drives for backups.
Alienware Core i7, 16GB, 1TB gaming laptop when I have the time to game and for when the Surface Pro 3 can't handle the games I throw at it.I have a Dell Venue 8 Pro for when I need a tablet for a public event (Children's Ministry mainly) and don't want to carry the rather expensive SP3 with me.

Our sales guys love the Surface series. One of them tried a Venue 8 and it was noticeably slower then the Surface Pro original.
I traveled with one for about a week and it was pleasant, but would still have preferred a laptop.

Aside from the form factor one of the things that is killing the Surface line of tabs is the app store. It's a running theme with Windows Phone. Internet loads of crapola.
BUT The surface 2&3 are by far a better fit into my workplace than the iPad and Android toys. If only for the ease of administration and getting them connected. Still horrendously expensive.
