Synology pushing to Backblaze B2 at 50mbps
-
It should have stopped at 6pm because I have it scheduled to do so.
But it should have started again at 7pm. It has done that for a month with no problem that I know of.
-
Thing did not restart again after the 6pm stop for the new incrementals to run.
WTF Synology.
-
How do you like B2? Whats your avg cost per TB if you dont mind me asking.
I looked at it, but went with Amazon Drive since it was $60/TB/Yr. and used Hyper Backup. I would like something cheaper, but don't think I'll find much cheaper than that. lol.

How is the speed on Amazon drive? The price make me think they have a narrow pipe in and out, but I haven't tried it out.

Going up I was maxing my connection @ 20mbps. I havent actually tried restoring or anything. I added a bunch of stuff to the NAS today. So I will look at what Unifi states during the backup time. I am almost out of space on Amazon, so got to purchase more.
-
@RojoLoco Here is the upload from Unifi, pretty much constant of 15+ mbps

@JaredBusch I am not sure how you have been doing with this, but basically what I have found is that after a couple months the key with B2 does not work any longer and we need to add it again so we are constantly monitoring it. If you get into that issue maybe you can see something I did not see.
I do not know if this affected me this morning or not.
The unit was still showing that it had sent data, but not all the data it should have been.
The status icon was a blue circle with dots spinning instead of the blue circle with arrows showing data transfer, or the green circle with a check showing up to date.
I clicked the pause sync button and the icon went green, but then i cuold not click unpause as it still showed paused.
I rebooted the unit and it immediately began to sync data that should already have been sent 2 weeks ago.
Sent a ticket off to Synology. We shall see what they say.
-
I am sure you have already done this, but there are no updates to either the app or Synology OS, right?

DSM updated last week. That app hasn't had an update.

Around 6pm today stuff stopped moving.
I was stupid and dind't screenshot the Synology before rebooting, but is just said "Connecting"
It is currently rebooting.
Did the Synology stop responding on the network at this point or did the transfer just stop?

That has nothing to do with today's conversation.

Today.
But it looks like some stuff has been uploading.

Their response was fucking stupid T1 bullshit.

rebooted and surprise, more things to sync.
-
@JaredBusch I guess it did not stop then.
-
Dead again this morning.
-
@JaredBusch Out of curiosity is this NAS having network connectivity drops?
Can you setup a monitor to watch this device and see if the NIC itself is completely disconnecting/failing.

I have all 4 NICs connected in a team. This is unlikely to be the problem. Also, one would think that even if is lost connectivity, a fucking sync application would then resume.

@JaredBusch said in Synology pushing to Backblaze B2 at 50mbps:
one would think
Sounds an awful lot like assume.
But yeah being in a team I can't imagine that being the issue.

Support finally replied asking for remote access. I enabled that and we shall see what they say.
I've sent log files twice.
