That is what it is, agreed that it doesn't change the quoted replies. But for someone coming to the thread and looking at the title as the source of "topic", I think that it will do a lot. It will make it clear that the issue was dug into, that "scam" is the wrong term, that there was something wrong that was discovered (and fixed it seems), and that while things weren't perfect, it's not a malicious activity and someone should read down the history of the thread and see what the result was. Otherwise, it is tempting to see the thread, and the title, and just assume too much.

No change is perfect, but I think fixing the title can do a lot to clarify it.

I wish that we had had a chance to speak about your frustration prior to you posting this on a public forum. Creating a "Skyetel is a Scam" post seriously hurts us and I would have rather treated this as an opportunity to introduce you to our customer service team.

aka hidden it like your pricing.

I'm not surprised by the port in charge, no. But I was surprised a month later to find it still on my account as a negative amount.

Okay, just verifying that I understood what you mean. If you look at the April bill, do the charges not appear there? My current charges like number porting show up there, even before the invoice comes out.

This is correct - if you click on the month and change it to the current month, you'll see all "Transactions" we made on your account (like Port In fees or Purchasing a Phone Number)
          Screen Shot 2019-04-29 at 1.43.20 PM.png

I saw it. I had no reason to click on it because I had nothing before March when I initiated the port request. I assumed it would not show April until after the month was over.

I see it shows all kinds of stuff.

@JaredBusch cool, yeah that was confusing for me at first, too. Since there isn't an April invoice, I wasn't thinking anything would be there.

Well, more like hiding the fact that is clearly isn't a scam and you made a false statement.

I made a statement that was factual based on all the information I had at the time. I in no way made an intentionally false statement.

I will update the topic title at your request. I dislike doing so because of the implied financial pressure of an advertiser.

Actually you are going to get me in trouble, they aren't a paid advertiser and I was supposed to take down the ads, but I've been lazy.

I mean, I enjoy using SpiteWorks to call them out for the spiteful bastards they are, but still.

Yes, because they host them locally on ML itself.

Never knew that, interesting and incredibly sneaky. . .

Not sneaky at all. PiHole only blocks ad hosting services, not pictures. Using ad hosting services is sketchy, not having pictures.

Also it is sneaky. An ad is an advertisement, of which I want to see none of them. Hosting images of advertisements is sneaky in that they can't be blocked through conventional tools and without needing to go an extra step.

This is not a new or hidden thing on ML. It was discussed a long time ago.
