Those are just earbuds. How good are they actually compared to something else?

I purchased these a while ago and really enjoy them. I bought them because I wanted dual headsets so we could watch TV but not be bother by the screaming teenage girls.

They last a good long time before recharging and are comfortable for up to about 3 hours.

Avantree 40 hr Wireless Bluetooth 4.1 Over-the-Ear Foldable Headphones Headset

[Edit] - I saw you mentioned Wireless and these are Bluetooth. Don't know if Wireless meant WiFi enabled.

On this subject I'm considering getting some noise cancelling headphones just to cut the sound out of the HVAC units. It's a constant 40-45 decibel all day and my ears feel tired.

So I'm going to watch this one closely.

Earbuds cannot have noise cancellation. They do not cover enough of the ear canal.

That was what I was thinking.

I'm in serious need of noise-canceling headphones, I think preferably wireless, with equal amounts of good sound voice/music, noise canceling, battery, and price.

I've never bought any before beyond what comes with a phone or $10 in a Target.

This is the next model up from what I have, basically the same thing but with noise cancellation.

The model you have I assume you find comfortable. For how long do you wear your headset?

On a 4 hour drive to St Louis, I'll move them a bit after an hour or so.

I would not say uncomfortable. An hour is a long time for something to be tight enough to the head to be noise cancelling.

I suppose that is true. I'm not a fan of having anything on my head at all, but with the way my ears are feeling I think I'm going to need to spend some cash (and deal with it).

I don't even want to listen to music, but to just cancel the constant air hiss from the HVAC in our office.

So you need a $2 pair of earplugs?

Does anyone know how well the non-noise cancelling Audio Technica m50xbt dampen noise around you versus the actual noice cancelling headphones that use digital means to do it?

It would just muffle sound, active noise canceling creates an opposite audio tone so you "hear nothing"

I was not asking how noise canceling works. I suppose that I was asking if it's worth losing the battery power over the non-active voice cancelling headphones. I don't need total noise cancellation which I know that they don't do that based on the reviews that I watched. So what I'm asking is if it's worth the noise canceling headphones over the other one listed there.

Sorry using voice to text at the moment.

Also the non noise cancelling headphones are Bluetooth version 5 and the others are for or 4.1
