Need to get Zabbix monitoring our switches, guess via SNMP to see traffic through the ports of the switches.
But since its 16:58 and i go home at 17:00 it's a job for monday.

Had a hard time getting some original UAPs upgraded to the most recent firmware. Had to put the .bin files on them with WinSCP and upgrade them via SSH. That did the job, but hopefully they upgrade normally with Unifi going forward.

I just found out that an electronic musician is planning to use a SAMIT track in a song.
Should be fun to hear.
She seems to do some really good work.
Do you know her?

Do the switches support sflow or netflow? That is probably better than snmp for what you want to do.

I had this issue.
You could have likely made it work simply by caching them on your UniFi server, that was what I did. No idea why it works but it does.

If they do. Do I still use zabbix to monitor or this there something else I should use?
Happy to create a new VM just to monitor stuff -

Happy to create a new VM just to monitor stuffSorry, been having issues with our ISP today. I am not too familiar with Zabbix and if it supports either or both.

Zabbix does not currently, and directs people to this tool:

I saw that too. Although, I didn't have enough experience with Zabbix to know enough to link to it.

We run Zabbix here, and have for a long time. But we never use Netflow. Zabbix is pretty nice, though. You should check it out.

I checked it out several years ago. I am using PRTG, and have been for 5ish years. I like it with a few caveats. Their "enterprise console" UI is sluggish. Once you get it setup, it just works. The android app allows for push notifications for issues. It has saved me on several occasions, including 3 server room AC failures that happened after hours. I have The Walking Dead theme song associated with the notification. That will wake you right up.

Upgrading my company laptop from Windows 10 1709 to 1809. I also need to finish setting up my new Precision 7920 workstation so I can start actually using it.

About to go pickup my Amazon microwave.

I was actually able to update all my servers this week, so I wouldn't have to do it this weekend. That rarely happens.
