I really like the tabbed interface there to be able to use each different editor without having to switch the window.

The OnlyOffice Desktop Editors on Fedora+Cinnamon are ugly as sin. They look and work great on Windows. But just eww on Fedora.
-
@JaredBusch same experience here.
-
@hellonadya this is a huge update, thanks!
-
@JaredBusch install Arial?

Why should I do that? I do not have this problem with fonts when I install with the RPM. Strictly when I use the snap package.

I'd recommend bundling dependencies. That's the purpose of the Snap package, so that you don't have to go out and find the pieces and make it work yourself afterwards. Arial is not common on a lot of OSes.

"Now that the Linux Desktop has become an undeniable factor, a prudent webdeveloper should include open-source friendly equivalents of the proprietary Verdana, Arial, Courier and Courier New fonts, to cater for this expanding audience. "

It's been around a few versions. When we were testing it out, we had chosen the Snap packages as that gets you the latest build and is the recommended version from ONLYOFFICE. Because it looked so bad, I had just assumed that this was how ONLYOFFICE looked and never tried non-recommended install versions to see how they looked.
You might have a lot of potential users never seeing anything but the broken version and thinking that this is "just how it looks."

Can you provide a source for that claim? I never saw any such information.

I thought that it was what they promoted on their web page.

You are right, at least from the download page, it looks like both methods are treated equally.

Nope.

Snap is in fact updated AFTER the RPM and Deb packages.
-
Also a couple days ago, the Snap package still had a date of June 2018.
-
Installing with the RPM on my Fedora 29 laptop results in this.
-
but it does not launch.

10 day old bug report on this.
https://github.com/ONLYOFFICE/DesktopEditors/issues/158Surprised none were sooner since I had the same problem back in November.
