I've not seen it. Have you tried removing some of the tiles/uninstalling prepackaged software?

I've seen it happened to a co-worker. He couldn't even use Win key + X too.

It's almost random for me, but it's on every Windows 10 device I use.

That sounds like it is the opposite of random, lol. That's what we call "totally consistent."

It's totally random as to when it happens. Totally consistent between devices tho, yep!

No big surprise here, give me Mate or KDE any day of the week!

I get weird crap going wrong all the time between different hardware with those, even sometimes on my Fedora laptop. So don't play the whole Linux GUI never has issues card because I've never experienced so much crap going wrong on anything as much as Linux desktop GUIs.

But to get back to the main issue, does all of explorer.exe freeze too?

If so I ran into this and have a fix for it you can deploy via GPO.

                I have this same issue.
It’s mostly on the machines that I rolled out on my first image. New images and deployment since then haven’t had nearly the issue.

Now that one I haven't run into yet that I remember.

Oh, if I install enough different desktop environments, at least one of them will have weird crud that happens like this. It's not a panacea, just that much easier to make a switch if it's a software issue. It's not like you have alternative desktop interfaces with Windows.

The difference I find is that every Windows deployment I see has issues, and I only see issues on Linux because I deal with so many that eventually things come up. Everything has issues, but nothing has issues like Windows. You can't compare Fedora or Mac OS problems and inconsistencies with Windows, it's a world of difference. You can't even compared Windows 10 with Windows 7 or older. MS has moved into a whole new world of problems with their desktops.

Linux Desktops is even more stable if you only use Window Managers.
