I need to install UTP cable and secure it with below heavy duty staple. The cable will go around the door frame and on the wood wall. Is this the correct staple gun to use and what are my alternatives?

It is more about the staple then the gun... they make staples for cable that have a bend in them so it doesn't pinch the cable.

That is a better way... what I also do is use velcro screwed to the wall to hold cables.

do you have an amazon link for curve staple? this seems much easier than carrying a hammer and nail clips.

No, you do not want a T50. The T50 is generally only a flat headed staple.

You typically use a T25 for this. But you said Heavy duty? That might be too big for a T25. So in that case, I am not certain.

                      The T25 is 7/16" | 11mm

If the T25 is too small I would look at using coax nail in staples like this.

Or step all the way to NM staples.

Only 8 years as a professional installer.

I may have specialized in building access control systems (all computerized) but I still had to do other stuff.

NM staples are the way to go. They last forever and are really easy to install.
