I tried others but didn't have any luck with them.
-
@scottalanmiller Likely still kinks to work out. I'll be taking a look when I get a chance. You did actually find these before we had announced fully haha!
-
So how long does it take on average for a system to show up in the interface?

it refreshes every 5 mins, but might require a reboot on the client side first.
-
@dashrender Thank you
-
I normally reboot after install. Just makes things easier.
-
Well its been about 15 minutes (and a reboot) and I've got nothing.

Windows or 'nix?
-
@dashrender Windows (firewall is off)
-
I just installed one in my office, i'll see how long it takes to show up

No need to turn off the firewall. It is Agent based.

It's off because of gpo, not because I turned it off.

This seems like it needs another thread entirely.

I can't reboot right now, so I restarted the salt-minion service
-
hrm no service found, reinstalling.
-
You can do....
Restart-Service salt-minion
I find PowerShell the simplest.

Did you remember to "Run as Administrator"?
-
@scottalanmiller Yes, of course, we have UAC actually enabled, and require an external admin account to install anything.
It's installed now.
