Microsoft Rewards spam - what does this mean?
-
Seriously, wtf is this, when did i sign up for this stupid meta-game, why would i sign up for this? What is the purpose?

Perhaps the people working at MS have time to play a gd meta-shopping-meta-game while at meta-work... in fact that would explain lots of things, but honestly sending me multiple emails about this every week is a bit too much. I have no idea what this is or why i should care. Go fix WSUS and add support for your own bleeping plugins for Office 2016, stop sending me spam. -
10/10 would read rant again

WTF is this stuff?
 -
@scottalanmiller I have no clue, hence the rant.
 -
Looks like something similar to the Bing Rewards program.

Always the best replies Ron.

Well I can't honestly say RedHat has never sent me an email with cats or the word "womp."
 -
hhhmmm....have you checked the email header? Did it really came from MS server?
 -
It is clearly the Bing rewards stuff.
He signed up for something and is getting spammed for it.
 -
It's Bing rewards...
I always get $5 or $10 off Amazon just for using Bing. And I don't mind because I never notice a difference in results when using either Bing or Google. Seems the same to me. Except when I use Bing, I get free money. I don't do anything extra that I wouldn't do on Google searches.
Except maybe when I get those emails, I'll quickly take 30 seconds once a week or whatever to get the bonus points.

I do have to give them credit for the Super Troopers reference in the second one.
