Mangolassi Website semi-frequent "Internal Error"
-
Last happened at 12:21 PM April 14 2017
It's been happening pretty frequently the last day or so. Using Windows 10 Edge browser. Haven't tried on another browser, but I will start to see if it does it there too. It has happened before I updated Win10 to 1703 (creators update). So it's not that.
I notice it happening when I click on a notification. Once I refresh the page, it's fine.

I get that but only when I'm having local network issues.

Different networks and computers.

I never get that. phone, desktop, laptop, tethering, wired, wireless, etc.

It happened again when I clicked on the notification of your reply.

But I was on Edge again... forgot to use Firefox or IE.

Have not seen this either.

I see it from time-to-time... It seems random to me. Chrome browser here

Enough time has gone by now that I've finally figured out the exact issue. Not sure of the cause, though.
This seems to only be happening on MS Edge browser on the creators update (1703), and does not happen in Edge in the previous Win10 release (1607).
The exact issue causing the error is simply clicking on a notification from the notifications drop-down window at the top. This happens 100% of the time, whether or not it's a new notification.
The issue does not occur when I middle-click, which opens up the notification/link I click in another tab.

I think I've figured out the main issue...
When clicking on a notification, the notification links to, for example: https://mangolassi.it/post/296273
After that, the browser is supposed to automatically redirect to: https://mangolassi.it/topic/13654/for-the-love-of-ipod/11, which it does in all other browsers and Edge pre-1703 update.
In MS Edge now (post 1703), after you left click a notification, it takes you to the first link, and gives you my original error. When I middle click to open it in a new tab, it works as normal, and redirects to the second link.

Dunno about Edge 1703, but IE 1703 is a pile of poo. Even though it is still IE 11, a ton of B2B sites that had specific settings no longer work.
Of course the real issue is crappy web design but still.
