Windows Easy Transfer for Windows 10
-
I usually use Windows Easy Transfer to transfer my windows profile from old computer to new computer. But it looks like Windows 10 is not supported.
It looks like i will need to transfer my files and settings manually. Is there other software that can assist me, I'm hoping to transfer everything including cookies, registry entries, favorites, registrations and software. It will great also if the new computer will be recognize by my bank portal site so i don't need to register it again. Is it possible to copy the needed files/registry so everything will work as before.

You can use ForensIT Tools:

@bishnitro I have not looked for a solution because I never had good luck with the Windows easy transfer method.

@JaredBusch windows Easy Transfer works in Windows 10 but you got to copy some files from a good Windows 7 computer to make it work.

I think Windows 10 has some migration options build in, bit I haven't looked in to it at all... Just something I think I remember hearing or reading.
Doesn't MDT do this anyways?

@Tim_G from the get go Windows 10 does not include it. You can do an inplace upgrade from Windows 7 or 8.1 without an issue or losing data and settings. Meanwhile USMT also can do the job.

I've been using scanstate and loadstate from the Windows Automated Installation Kit to go from 7 to 10 and 10 to 10. I like it better than easy transfer because it's command line and scriptable.
