Outlook 2013 Rules
-
I know how to create email rules however it becomes quite annoying to have to create multiple rules for the same domain name or business. Is there a better way to do this? Using O365/Outlook 2013.

Multiple rules? What multiple rules are you making?

Using MS as an example. You make a rule for each email that comes in but that means MS could have 20+ rules. I would like to add the domain, but I must be doing something wrong, because it ignores it.

Looking for the resident Outlook Wiz Kid! In Outlook 2013 what is the correct way to make a rule that all email from a domain be sent to a folder (example: I want all mail from Wave to go to the Wave folder, and not have to create a rule for Sara and The Wave Team etc.)
-
If I understand you correctly: From rules wizard select 'start from a blank rule'. Then tick 'with specific words in the sender's address'. So it looks like: *Apply this rule after the message arrives with wave.com in the sender's address move it to the **wave *folder

Are you looking for rules to be applied to a single user account or more across-the-board-like?
You could apply a rule at the exchange-level for domain handling - that will apply to everyone, though.

@Carnival-Boy I have not tried starting with a blank rule. I usually do it to an existing rule or from the email itself. I will try it the way you suggested. @Katie I was looking for a single user account.

Wow...thanks for the assist. One must remember to read. Sigh. So I found out that the @domain was not correct -> fail!
Adding @domain to existing (from people or public group) causes the rule to be read as this person AND the domain which => fail!So I removed the person and added the correct domain as per @Carnival-Boy and ta-da it works like it should. I have been using Outlook since 2000 and never have created a blank rule like @Carnival-Boy suggested. It was probably the first time I saw Stay Organized or Stay up to date in the Rules Wizard too! I have always right clicked an email to create a rule! Thanks again on the assist. I can now trim down my rules.
