Oh so many options! I'm looking for some good top shelf stuff...not like millionaire level spending, but something that's around $100/bottle or even a bit more.
I've tried the 16, 18, and 22 Glenlivet. The 22 was surprisingly smooth. The 16 was harsh.
16 ins\t "normal" year so it's a some "special edition" and it's VERY different from COTS 15 yo

I really enjoyed the Highland Park Valhalla Collection: Thor, Loki, Freya, Odin. There's 800 others behind and around in that room. Still working on trying them all.

@larsen161 How the hell do you open that, or do you pour 4 cups at once?

I sure hope so!

@DustinB3403 @scottalanmiller each bottle sold over a span of a few years. the display plinth was made available when the last one was released. It comes apart of course...
-
@larsen161 ahh so it's hinged. I was looking at the original picture and couldn't figure out how it came apart.
-
I think I'm a little late on this one, however, Balvenie 14 Carribean Cask and the Balvenie 17 are extremely smooth. The 14 is finished in a rum cask while the 17 has that soft maturity of a 17 single malt.

So I wanted everyone to know that I picked this up this weekend...very smokey and very tasty...YUM!

This bottle is special. Something about it. It's gonna be a couple decades before this is gone.
-
@thanksajdotcom nice suggestion. I went and picked up one along with a few others this week.

Uhm, strange. Imported from the UK to the US, but the big red label on the leftmost box says "Bruchgefahr" in German ("Handle with care")

@thwr the boxes on the left are The Glencairn Glass from Stölzle. Not sure what you mean by imported to the US though, they are all in the UK from the UK.
Nevermind, just noticed that you are in the UK Most users here are from the US, that's why I thought you're from there too. Stölzle is a German company, so that makes perfect sense.

@thanksajdotcom That is good, but you you find that Smokey, you may want to avoid anything that says Islay on it.

More for me.

I'm not a fan of smoky, peated Scotches. But I have discovered that Balvenie makes some amazing, non-smoky whiskies. Their 12 year, double wood, and Caribbean cask are all excellent.

I'm a fan of any 18 year old scotch, really. Macallen is one of my favorites. Dalwhinnie is great. I recently fed Scott some Johnnie Walker Gold label, though, with no complaints.
