They are all that I would buy today. Take no space, are safer, cost less to operate. They are pretty nice.

They cost a fortune to install when compared to traditional boilers though.
-
Plus the cost of replacing all of the copper in the house that is used for plumbing besides maybe the drainage.

Isn't a bomb. Doesn't flood, unless you have a leak in a pipe

Yeah we would have to replace everything in our house. Including bigger propane lines to supply the darn thing and proper venting also. Not a quick fix at all. so we are going with traditional.

I have hot water "boiler" heat and kicking myself in the a$$ that I did not get an indirect hot water tank installed when I replaced the boiler when we moved in. My wife's uncle last week offered me a slightly used indirect tank if we want it for free (his 2 kids grown and gone does not need as much hot water, it they went tankless and are fine). Contemplating but would be self install

I've heard that the tankless hot water heaters have issues with city water, specifically, they clog up easily due to all the additives/contaminants. Anyone know if that's true?

My dad is a plumber and has put lots of these in and then taken them back out cause of all kinds of issues. They are very sensitive to everything. We are on a well so for us it would be a horrible idea.

"We turn the server off and no one can get online.... help please.."
Now there is some reason they are turning the server off at night, but to not make the correlation - to me is just insane.
