Researching how to replace a ESXi host in a cluster.
- Migrate machines to other hosts in the cluster. (Shared Storage or not, doesn't matter)
- Remove host from cluster
- Add New host to cluster
- Migrate machines back
?

Good morning everyone. It's only 18 degrees Fahrenheit here today but it is not snowing and is sunny. Hopefully it will warm up soon.

That's the plan, but is it that simple?

@Minion-Queen It was 3 degrees this morning on my way into work. Thankfully the sun is now out.

In my (limited) experience with replacing a host, it has been.

True, but the OP still doesn't understand his needs as of his last post.

You also have to look at what he marked as a BA, though.

Just saw this on SW, love it...
ChrisB1220:
I just had a deal with a local pizza chain. They have been burned by the company that did the WiFi install as it has not worked at one location for the 7 months they have been open. They have hired my buddy as the GM and he is the one that reached out for my help. When I told him it was going to be $125 and hour, billed in 15 minute intervals. When he scoffed at the rate, I told him I would fix the entire thing for $100 and a large Chicago pie and a pint of Stella. This, he agreed to. 20 minutes later his WiFi was working and I was enjoying my beer. I now have a service contract for $125 an hour.
