      Oh good.

I thought you/he were locked out of your machine.

      Bitlocker is finicky.

Thank you for your concern. The cool thing about Bitlocker, the Pwd recovery key is listed in the AD under the Bitlocker tab.

Unless it is a standalone system like many of mine. 🙂

AD is the much better option.

And only if you have AD manage this 🙂

I tried to get my boss to have us upgrade everyone to Windows 10, he said nope, not until at least a year has passed... So instead we're using a separate encryption software for our needs.

@DustinB3403 one more aspect of the cost of not upgrading. Often the costs of staying back are hidding in the little things liek this.

HUH? Is bitlocker now included with Windows 10 Pro? I thought it was still limited to the Enterprise OS only?

I'm not sure about Windows OS 10, but I'm dealing with an Enterprise network.

@MrWright4hire I have Windows 10 Pro at home, and I have bitlocker.

No need to question me 😛

LOL, that's not what I was asking... I'm asking "why do you have bitlocker enabled at home?" Is it just because you can? Because you wanted to test it to learn? Because you have files you want to make sure no one else can get to without your password?

I have pro at home too, but I wouldn't bother turning bitlocker on because it's a hassle I just don't have a warrant for at home.
