    • Windows 10 updates fail again

Trying to get an update on a single machine KB4088776 has been problematic for too long. I went the route of manually downloading and it still fails. I shutdown the WU service, renamed the softwaredistribution file, purged Windows update and still nothing gets this update installed. Machine currently sits at 16299.192 which up until today was actually at 16299.125. So I made progress but now can't get .309's update to go.

Any thoughts? BTW, HP Probook 650 G1. BIOS is up to date and all other drivers are as well.

They are company just south of Racine. It is a good event run at Miller Park. Last year's conference was good, lot's of time to talk with vendors and much like 🌢 World they have techs on hand to discuss some issues if you want.

Spectrum (aka Time Warner AKA Time Wanker) is as bad as ComCast AKA ComNazi's.

Business class. . HA 15 down and 2 up for that many people and businesses.

Actually expecting them to get their billing in order. What a joke! I'd send them invoices for all the time spent sorting out their fake billing scheme as an attempt to charge you more.

Each house had the 15x2 connection. Not shared.

I was talking to a friend who is an attorney and he said to keep track of all the hours we've been working on this and we should be able to get 3x our hourly rate for the time we've been spending on this. We're at about 10k in billing rate.

I know in math two negatives make a positive, but I don't think it works the same if you take two shitty companies and put them together and try to make one good company.

    • Spectrum Sucks!!!

I gotta vent because no one here at work seems to get it. Back story, we are a school with 19 homes on campus (Profs live there) and dorms for 84 students. In September our deal for bulk TV was up. We renegotiated so we could get the TV and internet for the homes and all 84 student rooms (Main campus has fiber, students do not get individual internet) on one bill. Before the deal, 17 homes had Business Class internet @ 15 down and 2 up. 2 other homes had residential internet, which was separate from everything else. The deal was everything was included and the residences and student areas pay nothing.

November the deal goes live and Spectrum says, send your residents down to the local store and they can get their new modem and set top box. December comes and we get 4 new bills. One for the new agreement, one still charging for the business class at the 17 homes, 1 for the set top boxes, and one for the 2 other homes that had residential internet.

Call in December to attempt to get the bills squared away and they make adjustments to 3 of the residences and nothing else. Call again and no changes. Get a guy higher up and he is getting places until Spectrum cuts off what he used to be able to do and removes his ability to help us. We escalate and no one seems to be able to get their crap together.

We are now in March and TV services were getting shut off at homes even though we are getting credits on some bills but not others. The billing is now so eff'd up that we're spending most of our time going through bills, credits, and charges to figure out what we should and shouldn't pay.

We actually just reached out to our state reps this morning because we were told by one of our Spectrum reps that we are in violation of the contract.

Worst part of all of it is there isn't another service provider that could match the services, if they were all working.

How about the ability to sort by last check in?

Or even filter to the ones that haven't checked in in 24 hours or so?
