@hobbit666 said in So we are leaving..............:

To be honest i'm not too worried about this, as there will always be IT jobs, even McDonalds 😄

I wanted to stay in as there were no facts on what would happen if we left, like funding for framers and the NHS etc.
But we will see, i'm sure we will be fine but it's going to take some work.

      What happened?

No i can not ping and tracerout the site. I think this is DNS proplem . I am sharing screenshot.

That doesn't have to be a DNS problem. Querying a DNS server for an IP is called a reverse DNS lookup. Could just be a missing PTR record in this case.

      https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reverse_DNS_lookup

BTW, I can't ping that site too:

Like SAM said, try to track that down. Is the site accessible from some other location?

For those who are facing heavy database load:

      Holy crap

Some titles are way cheaper in canada. Some are not. Why?!?

Because we Europeans, especially we Germans, like to pay more than others. There may be quite some fees included, like the ones for artists etc. Not sure.

For example, we are paying a reproduction fee if we buy something like USB thumb drives, SD cards and even printers or DVD burners to recompensate publishing companies for example, because we could use such devices to copy their work... Something awfully stupid, all about lobbying.

      FTFY

Almost everything on my wishlist went on sale. Sadly, no job, bills to pay. Lets hope my interview goes well on Friday and I get hired. Plot twist: it's for a company that's in a building where I used to work.

Ah that sucks. Good luck with the interview.

I think I saw this on here somewhere... if so, credits to original poster.

There are thousands of mods, hundreds of very good ones among them, available for FO3 and NV over at nexusmod.com. Better waste your time there and wait for the community to fix FO4.

Personally I am not convinced. I know of many many good modders who got burnt by the troll mentality of the Bethsheda community over the years, ever since Oblivion. They've given up making mods because the internet has turned into a horrible collection of trolls.

We will still have modders yes but nowhere near as much as we need for previous Bethsheda titles, though I might be wrong 🙂

That's something I'm afraid of too, to be honest.

@DustinB3403 well, that would mean wind or rain...

I meant the clouds, and that you were in the eye of the storm.

Yup, those sound like hurricane weather stats.

Hurricane? In Germany? Guess not. There was some kind of a small vortex a few years ago 400km south of here. Only real problem here is a major flood fir example.

Oh, come on... let us have some fun surmising the existence of inland hurricanes!

      Inland? 😉

But actually. I'm holding off, Fallout 3 and New Vegas have plenty of mods to keep those games going, Fallout 4 does not seem to have anywhere near as much popularity.

The engine behind is way better, that's not a question. But the game is unbalanced like nothing (WAY too easy), has quite a few bugs (seems to be standard today) and the story is... Well, fighting Caesar's legion was at least somehow funny.

@gjacobse multiple possible approaches. Write a COM+-wrapper for JSON.NET to use that component directly in Excel, write a JSON-parser in VBA (would be PITA) or write a small app in a language of your choice with a JSON library of your choice.
